Monaco. The principality where wealth is architectural, speed is religion, and the circuit hugs the Mediterranean coastline so tightly that the margin between brilliance and disaster is measured in millimetres. No other race on the F1 calendar carries this weight. No other venue demands this level of perfection. For over a century, the greatest drivers in the world have threaded their machines through these streets — Casino Square, the Tunnel, Rascasse — at speeds that defy the geometry of the place.
This work captures that world.
The map of Monaco is rendered in the inner layer — streets, corners, and coastline hand-painted and encoded with hidden messages in graffiti script drawn from two decades of mark-making across 40+ countries. The word MONACO is embedded within the composition, not as label but as statement. Gold and silver leaf are applied by hand throughout, catching light the way the harbour catches sunlight in May — blindingly, beautifully, without apology.
The top layer is a custom original vector artwork by Francis Lamb, precision laser-cut in translucent gold acrylic — the map outline and typographic elements cut clean and exact, flooding the piece with a warm, luminous gold glow. Internal LED illumination activates both layers simultaneously — light passes through the gold acrylic and the painted paper below, transforming the map into something alive.
